Initial protection for your base and vehicles?

Hi Folks,

As the drone attacks have increased for those of us starting on Omicron, how do you initally build your base for protection?

For me I build in the side of a mountain and when I can build vehicles I make the hole bigger and deeper with an overlay of rock so drones can't shoot directly in. Digging is cheap and in the mountain negates the need for turrets and ammo.

Curious what you all have come up with.
