You, the developers, are psychotic

I built an SV with no reverser as I often to (reverse thrust is not necessary) and it would not exceed 3m/s in any direction. I put a reverser on (thruster/directional). It has a vertical thrust to mass ration of 80,000n/4000kg--it should accelerate upward at 20m/s-G. It doesn't. It accelerates to 3m/s and will not accelerate further unless I add an irrelevant reverse.
