Sound of inventory, thump thump thump

Hi, Ummm so I really like the sound of the thump thump thump when moving things back and forth from inventory screens. I don't know, call me lame but I like the sound, feels and sounds like I'm doing stuff. After a fresh start, take things out of the boxes on the escape pod and the sound diminishes over a few clicks and then disappears. I reached level 17 today and the sound never came back. I even muted the music just to make sure.

Is this a bug or a setting I have wrong. Hope I explained it...
