BA vs CV?

I'm contemplating building a Base in space and I'm wondering if I should build a Capital Vessel, instead, and just make it look like a Base. If I make it a CV, I can later add thrusters and warp, and move it to another location.

What do I give up?

Off the top of my head I can't think of a disadvantage.
