CV does not defend itself, what am I doing wrong?

I've used the blueprints to build a T1Cv, and then later a T2CV, and both of them were nearly destroyed by space drones. You'd think by the way they are bristling with gun turrets they could defend themselves like a Hover Vehicle does, but they just sit there and do nothing.

The appropriate ammo is loaded, and it's set to attack other factions, aliens, and even predators, in case it thinks space drones are predators.
