Understanding power consumption, I think.

I believe mass has to do with power consumption,

I made a new base and only installed lights and a generator and fuel tanks, nothing more.

I took over an outpost but upon leaving I stripped the outpost clean only leaving lights and a generator running, making my new base I have only installed lights, fuel tanks and a small generator, basically like the outpost minus the fuel tanks, I returned to the outpost heard and seen the generator still running although the outpost contains no fuel...
