Replacing POI core should aggro the drone base

I've noticed that I can replace a POI core with my own and the structure will never attract any drones and the drone base will never send waves after it, but the moment that I create a new base starter with generator and fuel tank and power it, a few seconds later I get the warning of drones on the way to attack.

I've put cores in the crashed titan parts and all manner of POIs and even if there are drones on site, they just ignore the ownership change.
