So somewhat recently the maximum angle of depression for turrets was capped to keep them from shooting themselves in the foot, literally. But this creates a problem. Two turrets rotated perpendicular to each other cannot make a fully covered firing arc. Here is my demonstration:
The two turrets, the top one pointing max down and the top one pointing max up, do not converge. There is a gap in defensive fire which would have to be compensated for.
