The player built turrets never shoot the enemy drones or turrets, on Omricron they shoot the rock golems from very far away, they really don't like those guys.
They shoot the snake headed aliens most of the time and ignore the drones completely, this is both the rocket turrets for bases and the hover vehicle turrets.
Tried doing a drive by on a few enemy bases in a HV with 2 plasma and 2 mini gun turrets, they never once fired at the enemy guns or drones, they did fire most of the time...
