Currently automated turrets waste tons of ammo firing at things that wander in and out of maximum range.
Instead of just shooting at everything at maximum range, allow three settings:
1) (not) work like they currently do, for those who are ok with this default setting.
2) Hold fire until hostiles come withing 90% of detection/maximum range.
3) Fire only on things that are attacking my character, the ship or base that the weapon is mounted on, or a different ship/base I own if the hostile is...
