[MOD] Empyrion Notices

Empyrion Notices is the successor to Death Messages. Rewriting the mod allowed me to setup a framework that will allow for more user options and room for expansion. Since this is the first version, feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Features:
  • Death Messages.
  • Join/Leave messages.
  • User ability to enable death messages, notices, join messages and notices.
  • Admin ability to force admin join/leaves to users. (This let's any players waiting for an admin to be aware.)...

Feature: With Repair-2-Template it is possible to fix up a vessel and have lost blocks placed back where they belong to. This does cost ressources.

Available for: Base

Devices needed:
- Repair Bay (Dock) T1 or T2
- Repair Console (Access)

1. Go to the CONTROL PANEL of your vessel
2. On the main page on the LOWER LEFT click the button "Save Repair Template"
3. Have a base with both Repair-2-Template devices

EAH is under active development and we are always looking into features which can boost your or your players experience in Empyrion.

However, even if EAH offers some game-play features like the EAH Auto Miner it doesn't mean this is the common or only way to request features.
For that please refer to the proper threads in the forum.

So please difference between game core features (for example you want a new item) and EAH features...

For Alpha 8.0, we are developing a new AI technology, which will be used mainly for the AI of animals and other NPCs on the planets.

1. Technology
We will be using a new Behaviour Tree technology for the animals. It is a visual tool, in which we can design the behaviour from small AI modules. This helps us to easily create prototypes and reuse the modules between animals.

It's finally done for a first test release.

As the changes from Alpha 7 to Alpha 8 simply were too big, i decided this version will only support saving of Alpha 8 playfields. At least for now.

You will still be able to open Alpha 7 playfields of course, but those won't be saved correctly, if you choose a version lower...

We changed the single-purpose food & item drops system into a basic set of groups.

- PlantProtein
- NaturalSweetener
- Grain
- Berries
- Fruit
- Mushroom
- NaturalStimulant
- Vegetables
- Spice
- Buds

Each harvestable plant in the game, that is relevant to a food item or meal, will drop an item that is named like one of these groups. For example: Corn and Wheat plants will get you GRAIN.

There are other plants, that did not see a change yet, like Varon Root still drops Varon Roots, but...

Mir fehlt eine Alphabetische Sortier Möglichkeit im Geräte Baum in der Steuerkonsole.
Es ist auch nicht schön,das wenn ich neue Gruppen mache und dann auf "Automatisch Gruppieren"klicke,das dann alles weg ist.Kann man das nicht so machen,das man nur die Objekte zuweißt,die Un gruppiert sind?Ab ca 40 Frachkisten ist es nur noch ein totales durcheinander.(Sorry,kann es nicht auf Englisch schreiben,dafür ist mein Englisch zu schlecht)

While the change of the food and drop items is pretty straight forward, the new status effects and the medical items needed to cure them, have seen a full rework for 8.0.

I think it would be logical to give new players the option of having a Portable Perishables Container which requires Bio fuel to cool food and eliminate spoilage. This is a serious issue concerning vital finds such as Fire/Confetti Moss Scrapings, Herbal Leaves ect. (Dermal Parasites Ain't Fun = Dead) until one can get a Fridge made in the Large Constructor. This could easily be one of the most important items a new player could have to preserve meats and other plant materials for later use....

Hi, I have started to make a small console program that read/analyse EPB files. It can also generate EPB files with some basic shapes. The purpose of this is to map out the file format and enable more complete tools for generating content with correct block types, colours, textures, symbols all the way up to functioning signal logic.

The program is written i C# .Net and works with mono for non-Windows users.

HV Turrets Not Shooting POI Turrets

They might consider them under "Alien" but if this is turned on they prioritize the ground aliens and not the turrets. If "alien" is turned off but target turrets turned on they do absolutely nothing. This is a issue making the HV as a POI attacker useless and I haven't tested this with CV turrets yet. No idea if this is an actual bug or just a turret priority oversight.

Been a wee bit bored and thinking about how in so many games you can carry a semi truckload of stuff (Empyrion included) so I decided to set a challenge for myself. I am going to try to travel on foot with a realistic amount of gear...living off the land as it were. I am thinking of taking along

Light suit with 2 boosts (prob 2 multis)
T2 enhanced pistol & 100 rounds
Portable constructor (with which I can make more ammo from copper and fiber)
Survival tool (to gather copper)
Tent
Flashlight...
