Hi. I took up this quest but couldn't find any robots.
I visited "Tech Ruin" and another small wreckage POIs but there were no robots.
Where do they spawn?

Summary: Steady reduction in framerate over 5 minutes

Description: Since the 1.8.8.3864 patch, any attempt to play the game results in a steady decline in framerate over the first 5 or less minutes of gameplay until the framerate plateaus at 10-20 FPS. Specific playfields have no effect, nor do any of the graphic Options, not even resolution.

The ONLY thing that restores the framerate is to completely restart...

Hey everybody :), I'm building a rather large spacestation and The CPU with the maximum number of *Allowed extenders has fallen far short for the job.
First question why do inert, does nothing blocks require CPU? or is this a system to limit structure and vehicle sizes/complexity for the game engine sake?
Second, why limit the number of Extenders? if somebody/a group wants to put in the effort/group activity to keep adding more extenders, why stop that?
Last Question, After researching this...

I took the liberty of combining requests from multiple posts/forums to put in this one thread, with the idea of keeping it updated as more come from the community. So it's in one easy to read list instead of the devs having to go through 500 posts. They just have to read the list 1-100 :)

Integrated tool for scenario builders

There is already a standalone tool to read yaml files which is excellent.
I was thinking about an integrated tool in the N menu which would allow you to set dialogues in a POI console, define conditional or direct triggers for certain types of events like activating NPC spawners, make messages appear etc. There is actually a tool called eWCCT, but it seems to take a large learning curve to even get started.
An integrated standalone tool, or non-integtrated outside of the game but easy to use...

So whenever I want to modify parameters in a scenario I have to restart the scenario for my change to take effect. What was the thinking behind that? If I want to debug a scenario playfield, I need to restart fresh, teleport to the playfield I want to debug and then make a change, and rinse and repeat every time I want to change a playfield?

Do you always have to start from fresh?

Thought I'd make a thread for folks to post their daily happenings. If mods would rather not have this thread, feel free to delete it/whatever :)



Today (or last night rather) I finally ventured beyond Akua's atmosphere and decided to check out a nearby planet, which turned out to be the Omicron Moon.

Saw a little base and decided to investigate. What I didn't expect was for 4 turrets and at least as many drones to destroy my poor little SV, leaving me stranded on the Moon.

We are on default scenario, we have npc and quests on akua but we can't find any quest item... :/

Update v1.7
I tested the following MODs with the ModLoader in 1.7. The ModPackage (ModLoader.zip) with the working mods can be downloaded from the attachment here.
Install: Download ModLoader.zip and unzip it to your [EGS]\Content\Mods directory.

The following mods work (MP only):
  • EmpyrionBackpackExtender (non standard items via name for cross savegame access)

New Starting Planets - Not a Fan

I just wanted to say that I am really not impressed with the new starting planets. While I can get the idea of what the Devs are trying to accomplish (get players into space sooner), I think these changes really hurt the game.

First, as I always do, I started on Akua. The new look for flora is pretty and I started out really excited for the new changes. I built my first base and rapidly added two turrets to the base to defend against the inevitable Zirax drone attacks. I'm still...
